Ornamental Iron Fence & Gates
Tubular steel and ornamental iron fencing and gates for front yards, pool code enclosures, courtyards, and commercial frontage. Iron keeps a view open where a solid fence would close it off, and privacy mesh or screening can be added behind the panel when a yard needs both sightlines and cover. Apache also installs iron railing on steps and raised patios.

About ornamental iron fence & gates
What is the difference between wrought iron and tubular steel?
In modern fencing, most 'iron' fence is tubular steel — hollow steel sections welded into panels, then finished. True wrought iron is largely historic. Tubular steel is lighter, more consistent, and more economical while giving the same open ornamental look.
Will an iron fence rust in San Diego?
Steel will rust wherever the finish is broken, and salt air near the coast accelerates it. The finish is therefore what determines longevity, along with touching up any chips or scrapes rather than leaving bare metal exposed.
Can I get privacy with an iron fence?
Yes. Privacy mesh or screening installed behind the panels gives you cover while keeping the ornamental face of the fence. We have built exactly this where a homeowner wanted the iron look without a fully exposed yard.
